Switching to a reusable razor is one of the easiest plastic free swaps you can make. All you need to do is replace the plastic free blade when it’s dull, cutting out countless disposable razors and cartridges. The Plastic Free Shaving Co Double Edge Safety Razor replaces single use plastic disposable razors and plastic cartridge razors.
The razor is made from aluminium, with a chrome plated head. The blades are made from stainless steel.
Billions of disposable razors and cartridges are thrown away around the world every year. These razors cannot be recycled and must be sent to landfill. Even worse, many end up in our waterways and oceans, harming wildlife and polluting the environment. With a safety razor, you simply replace the stainless steel blade, which is 100% recyclable. There's no plastic, no cartridges and no waste. They also achieve a better shave, and feel so much better to use too.
The safety razor is packed in a recyclable cardboard box.
When the blade in your safety razor just doesn't cut it anymore, it's really easy to change. Simply unscrew the handle, remove the top part of the razor head, slot in the new blade and screw the razor back together. Old blades can be placed in a blade bank, which stores the blades until its full and ready to be recycled. Some local authorities allow you to recycle your blade bank in your household recycling bin. Others will need you to take it to your household recycling centre, so it's best to double check first. The blade bank we sell will hold thousands of blades, and will take a few years to fill up!

We have done extensive research into different delivery companies and have found Royal Mail, Parcelforce Worldwide (a part of the Royal Mail Group), GLS (also a part of the Royal Mail Group) and in select areas, DHL to be the most cost effective, reliable and environmentally friendly. We constantly review our delivery options to ensure what we offer continues to be cost effective for our customers, whilst remaining true to our environmental values.
