Handmade in Nailsworth using locally sourced Beeswax, these Beeswax Wraps provide the perfect plastic free solution to keeping your food fresh for longer. They are 100% natural, so you can be certain that there are no nasty chemicals to leach into your food. Pine Resin gives the wraps a natural adhesive, making them clingy so that you can create a tight seal around your food. If reducing plastic waste isn’t enough of a bonus, unlike clingfilm the wraps are breathable, so you can wave goodbye to soggy sandwiches and sweaty cheese!
This Small Kitchen Pack is the perfect way to start your Beeswax Wrap journey, or a quick way to top up your collection. Either way, they’re the perfect addition to an eco-friendly kitchen. The Small Kitchen Pack contains:
- 1 Small Beeswax Wrap – 20cm x 20cm – Ideal to preserve unused vegetable and fruit halves and seal jars.
- 1 Medium Beeswax Wrap – 30cm x 30cm – Perfect for wrapping sandwiches, cheese and covering leftovers.
Each wrap is individually made, with the intention to make them as long lasting as possible. The fabric is cut prior to the wax being applied, sealing the edges in wax and preventing the fabric from fraying after a few washes. The wraps will last approximately a year, or even longer if you use a refresher block. Once your wraps have eventually come to the end of their life, they’re 100% compostable, or even make great natural firelighters.
It’s recommended that you refresh your wraps. There are two separate refresh methods which help extend the life and quality of the wraps. The first method is recommended to be undertaken every two to three months and requires you have either an electric oven or an electric iron and the second method is recommended to be undertaken every year and requires you to have a Beeswax Wraps Refresher Block.
Both methods are quick and easy to do, and the nice people who make the Beeswax Wraps have made some handy videos to show you how to complete these methods, please find these below:
- Refreshing your Beeswax Wraps in the oven
