We know how difficult it can be to tell how much of an impact what you are buying has on the environment, and what effect switching to a more sustainable product has, so we have found out and compiled all of this information for you below.
The Wild and Stone natural hair ties replace hair ties made from plastic.
The hair ties are made from organic cotton and natural rubber. They are dyed using natural, toxic free dyes certified to the OEKO-TEX standard.
The vast majority of hair ties on the market are made using plastic. These hair ties take around 500 years to break down, and cannot be recycled. They end up in landfill, or worse, polluting our environment and waterways. On the other hand, the Wild and Stone natural hair ties are made using 100% natural materials. They are fully compostable at the end of their life and won't harm the environment.
The hair ties are packaged on recyclable and compostable card.
The hair ties are well made and should last for a long time. However, if you do need to dispose of them, they are fully compostable. Just cut them up and place them in your compost bin. Consider using them for other uses first though, such as an alternative for an elastic band!

Delivery
We use Royal Mail to deliver our customer orders to our customers in the UK, Europe and the Rest of the World. We also use Parcelforce Worldwide in partnership with General Logistics Systems (GLS) to deliver our customer orders to our European customers and where it’s more cost effective and in line with our environmental values, we use DHL Parcel UK.
We have done extensive research into different delivery companies and have found Royal Mail, Parcelforce Worldwide (a part of the Royal Mail Group), GLS (also a part of the Royal Mail Group) and in select areas, DHL to be the most cost effective, reliable and environmentally friendly. We constantly review our delivery options to ensure what we offer continues to be cost effective for our customers, whilst remaining true to our environmental values.
