The Plastic Free Vegan Shaving Brush replaces shaving brushes that are made with plastic bristles, and those made from animal hair.
The handle of the Shaving Brush is made from sustainably sourced Ash wood, whilst the bristles are made from a sisal. Sisal is strong and durable natural fibre that comes from the Agave Sisalana plant.
Traditional shaving brushes are made from badger or boar hair. The badger and boar hair industries are well known for their cruel practices and hurt towards animals. Until recently, the only alternative to animal hair has been synthetic nylon bristles, which are a type of plastic. When using brushes made with these, the bristles can come loose and be washed down the drain, where they make their way into the water courses and oceans. This is where the all new Plastic Free Vegan Shaving Brush steps in. The bristles are made from sisal, a type of plant, so are totally plastic free and Vegan friendly. No animals are harmed, and no plastic is washed down the drain - a win all round!
The Clear Confidence Shaving Brush is packaged in a recyclable cardboard box.
The Shaving Brush should last you for many years, but when it finally does need to be disposed of, the handle and bristles are 100% home compostable, so just put them in your compost bin.
