We’re proud to say that we have managed to source this Dish Soap Bar from a small local company, less than 3 miles from where we’re based. The soap is all handmade using natural ingredients and has a fresh citrus smell. It is designed to leave your dishes sparkling without harming the planet, but can be used all around the house too!
The Dish Soap is Vegan friendly, cruelty free, and free from palm oil and borax. It is made using natural ingredients, and is very gentle on your hands, but cuts through stubborn grease and grime with ease. It is septic tank friendly and fully compostable, so you can be assured that when the soap is washed down the drain it is not polluting the environment.
Using a Dish Soap Bar can actually save money compared to washing up liquid. The 130g (around 4½ oz) bar can provide a single person around 3 months of dish washing joy!
To use the Dish Soap Bar, first remove excess grease and food from your dishes. Wet your cloth, sponge or scrubber and rub the Dish Soap Bar until your cloth is soapy (there is no need to immerse the bar in the water). Then just wash your dishes as normal, rubbing the Soap Bar into your cloth every time you need a soapy top up, and rinse your dishes once they’ve been washed. The Dish Soap works in both hot and cold water, although we have to admit, hot water does work best.

The Dish Washing Soap Bar is handmade using natural ingredients. It contains: Coconut Oil, Lemon Oil, Citric Acid, Washing Soda
Conventional washing up liquids contain harmful chemicals, including some from petrochemical sources (made from petroleum). Not only are these chemicals bad for your skin (ever noticed lots of dish washing can cause your hands to crack?), these chemicals can cause environmental damage when they are washed down the drain, inevitably ending up in the ocean. Washing up liquids are also contained in plastic bottles, adding to the plastic pollution that the world is already facing. The Natural Dish Soap Bar is the complete opposite. It is made completely from natural ingredients, is fully compostable, and is harmless when it is washed down the sink. Furthermore, it's packaged in a recyclable (and compostable) paper sleeve. You'll be safe in the knowledge that when you're doing the dishes, the soap is kind to your hands and the planet.
The Dish Soap Bar is packaged in a recyclable and compostable paper sleeve. We may also wrap it in some recyclable and compostable paper to protect other items in your order.
You should be able to use all of the Dish Soap Bar, but if you need to dispose of any bits, the Dish Soap is fully compostable in your home compost.
