We know how difficult it can be to tell how much of an impact what you are buying has on the environment, and what effect switching to a more sustainable product has, so we have found out and compiled all of this information for you below.
The LIMÓN Saiga Recycled Backpack replaces backpacks that are made with virgin plastic.
The fabric of the backpack is made from 67% recycled PET plastic bottles, certified by Global Recycle Standard. The zip is also made from recycled materials, and the PU badge is made from recycled PU.
The vast majority of backpacks and bags out there are made using virgin plastic - that's new plastic that has just been produced. The problem is, there is already loads of plastic already out there, heading to landfill or polluting our environment. That's where LIMÓN stepped in. They decided to make their backpacks using recycled plastic, giving a new and long life to recycled plastic bottles. By using recycled plastic, they are helping to reduce the impact that plastic has on the environment.
The backpack is wrapped in tissue paper inside a paper bag. Please note, the tissue paper may be stuck with plastic tape. We are currently working with the manufacturer to get this changed in future.
LIMÓN backpacks are designed to last, but when you do decide it's time for an upgrade, get in touch with LIMÓN, who will take your old bag back and make sure it finds its way into the hands of someone who can love it for a little while longer.

Delivery
We use Royal Mail to deliver our customer orders to our customers in the UK, Europe and the Rest of the World. We also use Parcelforce Worldwide in partnership with General Logistics Systems (GLS) to deliver our customer orders to our European customers and where it’s more cost effective and in line with our environmental values, we use DHL Parcel UK.
We have done extensive research into different delivery companies and have found Royal Mail, Parcelforce Worldwide (a part of the Royal Mail Group), GLS (also a part of the Royal Mail Group) and in select areas, DHL to be the most cost effective, reliable and environmentally friendly. We constantly review our delivery options to ensure what we offer continues to be cost effective for our customers, whilst remaining true to our environmental values.
