Georganics Natural Vegan Dental Floss is made using 100% natural ingredients and materials, and is 100% compostable. The floss itself is made using corn based PLA, which is then coated with Vegetable Wax and flavoured with Spearmint Oil. Orange is safe to use with young children and during pregnancy, as it is known for its superior but gentle soothing properties.
The Dental Floss is available in a reusable glass dispenser (1 x 50m) or as a twin refill pack (2 x 50m). 50 metres of floss should be enough for approximately 150-170 applications.
Please note, the new Georganics Vegan Dental Floss is 20 metres longer than its predecessor, meaning that it will not fit inside the old dispensers.

We know how difficult it can be to tell how much of an impact what you are buying has on the environment, and what effect switching to a more sustainable product has, so we have found out and compiled all of this information for you below.
The Natural Vegan Dental Floss from Georganics replaces conventional dental flosses made using traditional plastics.
The Floss is made from PLA, which is a type of plastic that is made from corn, not crude oil. PLA is far more environmentally friendly than normal plastic, as it creates around 80% fewer greenhouse gases when made, and is also compostable.
Most conventional dental flosses are made using plastic that originates from crude oil, which ends up in landfill as it can’t be recycled. They are also usually contained in single use plastic dispensers. Other eco-friendly floss is usually made from silk, which comes from silk worms, so isn't Vegan friendly. The Georganics Natural Vegan Dental Floss solves these problems. It is made from plant based materials so is 100% compostable after use and Vegan friendly. It's contained in a refillable (and recyclable) glass container so is zero waste too.
The floss can be purchased with a refillable glass container with a metal dispensing lid, or as a refill pack. The refills are wrapped in wax paper. Both options are packaged in a cardboard box printed with vegetable based inks, which can be recycled or composted.
When you have finished flossing, the floss is 100% compostable, so simply place it in your compost bin. Should you wish to dispose of the glass container and metal dispensing lid, these can be placed in with your household recycling.

We also use Parcelforce Worldwide in partnership with General Logistics Systems (GLS) to deliver our customer orders to our European customers and where it’s more cost effective and in line with our environmental values, we use DHL Parcel UK.
We have done extensive research into different delivery companies and have found Royal Mail, Parcelforce Worldwide (a part of the Royal Mail Group), GLS (also a part of the Royal Mail Group) and in select areas, DHL to be the most cost effective, reliable and environmentally friendly. We constantly review our delivery options to ensure what we offer continues to be cost effective for our customers, whilst remaining true to our environmental values.
