Whether you’re having a picnic in the park, or dining alfresco on the beach, the Gentlemen’s Hardware Portable BBQ has you covered. Perfect for days out and on the go, it’s a great alternative to single use, disposable BBQs, providing the authentic barbecue experience wherever you are.
The unique folding design makes the BBQ incredibly portable. It folds down to just 30cm x 39cm x 10cm, small enough to fit in a rucksack, and weighs only 3.5kg. If your rucksack is full of other goodies, the BBQs nifty carry handle allows you to carry it like a briefcase.
The BBQ is made from stainless steel, making it easy to clean and rust free. The robust grill is built to last, and with a generous 32.5cm x 23cm cooking area, it can easily cater for four people. The heavy duty charcoal burner provides for safe and effective cooking, and can be used with charcoal, charcoal briquettes or instant-lighting charcoal.

The Gentlemen's Hardware Portable Folding BBQ replaces single use BBQs.
The Gentlemen's Hardware BBQ is made from stainless steel.
Disposable BBQs cannot be recycled, meaning that every one that is used (estimated to be over 1 million in the UK every year) ends up in landfill. Furthermore, they're almost always packaged in plastic, and the charcoal that they contain is often imported, and not always sustainably sourced, with some imported charcoal contributing to the deforestation of sensitive ecosystems. By switching to a reusable, portable BBQ, you will be saving waste being diverted to landfill. It also allows you to be selective about the charcoal that you use. Where possible, try to source charcoal that is made in the UK from sustainable sources - it will have much less environmental impact in terms of miles travelled and the resources used to produce it.
The BBQ is packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. Please be aware, inside the box the BBQ is protected with polystyrene and a plastic bag. We are in talks with the manufacturer to replace this with a more sustainable alternative in the future.
The Portable BBQ is built to last, and should provide great barbecues for years to come. However, if you do need to dispose of it, it can be recycled with the metals at your local household recycling facility. Obviously, after each barbecue, make sure to dispose of your charcoal responsibly.

We use Royal Mail to deliver our customer orders to our customers in the UK, Europe and the Rest of the World. We also use Parcelforce Worldwide in partnership with General Logistics Systems (GLS) to deliver our customer orders to our European customers and where it’s more cost effective and in line with our environmental values, we use DHL Parcel UK.
We have done extensive research into different delivery companies and have found Royal Mail, Parcelforce Worldwide (a part of the Royal Mail Group), GLS (also a part of the Royal Mail Group) and in select areas, DHL to be the most cost effective, reliable and environmentally friendly. We constantly review our delivery options to ensure what we offer continues to be cost effective for our customers, whilst remaining true to our environmental values.
