Handmade in Germany by a small family business using locally grown, sustainable FSC® Certified Beech Wood and natural Tampico fibre bristles, the EcoLiving Wooden Dish Brush is 100% zero waste, Vegan friendly and plastic free. It is fully home compostable and is made from sustainable materials, meaning your washing up chores won’t be harming the planet.
The brush is very hard wearing and should last a long time, providing that you allow it to dry out between uses.

We know how difficult it can be to tell how much of an impact what you are buying has on the environment, and what effect switching to a more sustainable product has, so we have found out and compiled all of this information for you below.
The Wooden Dish Brush replaces plastic based washing up brushes.
The brush handle is made from sustainably sourced FSC® Certified Beech Wood, with Tampico fibres for the bristles. Tampico is a very robust fibre from the yellow leaf of the agave cactus, which grows in the highlands of northern Mexico. Tampico has great water-retaining properties, is resistant and hard-wearing, and keeps its shape without softening.
Plastic washing up brushes release plastic fibres and micro plastics when they are used. This plastic is washed down the drain, eventually making its way in to the ocean, where it pollutes the environment and ends up in the food chain, causing harm to countless species, including us! Whats more, plastic brushes cannot be recycled, so inevitably end up in landfill. By switching to a washing up brush made from natural materials, you are avoiding the release of micro plastics when you do the dishes, and preventing more waste ending up in landfill.
The brush is 100% packaging free!
When the brush has worn out, it can be composted at home.

We have done extensive research into different delivery companies and have found Royal Mail, Parcelforce Worldwide (a part of the Royal Mail Group), GLS (also a part of the Royal Mail Group) and in select areas, DHL to be the most cost effective, reliable and environmentally friendly. We constantly review our delivery options to ensure what we offer continues to be cost effective for our customers, whilst remaining true to our environmental values.
