We know how difficult it can be to tell how much of an impact what you are buying has on the environment, and what effect switching to a more sustainable product has, so we have found out and compiled all of this information for you below.
The Compostable Car Sponge from ecoLiving replaces conventional car sponges and cloths which are made from plastic.
The Compostable Sponge is made from natural renewable plant based materials - cellulose, cotton, wood pulp and flax.
Conventional sponges are often made from plastic, and as such release micro plastics when they are used. These micro plastics get washed down the drain, where they eventually make their way into the ocean, polluting the environment and harming aquatic life. Conventional sponges cannot be recycled, instead ending up in landfill, where they remain for a very long time. The Compostable Sponge, however, is totally plastic free, instead being made from plant based materials. Using it won't harm the environment, and it can be composted after use, leaving no trace behind.
The Sponge is packaged in a recyclable cardboard box.
When the Sponge has seen better days it can be home composted.

We have done extensive research into different delivery companies and have found Royal Mail, Parcelforce Worldwide (a part of the Royal Mail Group), GLS (also a part of the Royal Mail Group) and in select areas, DHL to be the most cost effective, reliable and environmentally friendly. We constantly review our delivery options to ensure what we offer continues to be cost effective for our customers, whilst remaining true to our environmental values.
