It's important to note that due to the way that Friendly Soap's Shampoo Bars are made, they're not suitable for use in hard water areas. This is because the Shampoo Bars contain soap, which when combined with the minerals in hard water, causes a chemical reaction that changes the sodium salt component in soaps into their calcium and magnesium salt counterparts, resulting in an insoluble white-grey residue. The Shampoo Bars are also not designed to be used with dyed hair, and can cause fading.
